It is a study that focuses on exploring the organizational culture of Open College, a language training institute in Guangzhou (China) established on the basis of the self-taught examination system, and on how the features of the organizational culture affect its TESOL teaching. Based on Schein’s, Hofstede’s and Handy’s theories, an in-depth discovery and understand-ing of the organizational culture of the college from the perspectives of“artifacts”,“espoused values”and“basic assumptions”are conducive to knowing better about the TESOL classrooms and figure out the improvement to them.
