高职院校的根本任务是培养高技能应用型专门人才，作为高职院校的数学教师，其教学方式也必须以此要求为标准，通过新的思想、新的教学手段和评价方式的改革创新，不断培养和提高学生的数学应用能力，使高职数学课程的应用性得以充分体现，与此对应的是数学建模具有强烈的现实性与不确定性，需要学生创造性地进行构建，这种思想、方法正是高职数学的应用与升华。本文就数学建模思想渗透于高职数学教学中的重要性与可行性进行了分析、讨论，并结合实例加以论证。
