意象图式是认知语言学研究的热点之一，是我们在与外界感知互动中反复出现的样式，也可以被理解为一种生动形象的心智图像，将意象图式理论引入唐诗翻译研究仍有很大的空间。该文基于意象图式理论，对唐诗《早发白帝城》的两个英译本进行比读，试图找到唐诗英译的新思路。

Image Schema is one of the hot topics in the study of Cognitive Linguistics. It is a recurring pattern that we can per-ceive when we interact with the outside world,and it can also be understood as a vivid mental picture. Applying Image Schema Theory to the translation study of Tang Poetry still leaves a great space for us. Based on Image Scheme Theory, the article com-pares and analyses two different English versions of Zao Fa Bai Di Cheng. It aims to find out a new approach to translate Tang Poetry into English.
