翻译本应是源语言与目标语言之间的桥梁，但是由于源语言与目标语言存在颇多差异，翻译过程便需要不断调整结构。然而汉语译员可能受到英语表层结构的局限，也可能汉语译员无法自如地驾驭汉语，其译文并不合乎翻译标准。该文以此出发，探讨了两种主流的翻译标准、英式汉语的原因、表现形式和克服途径。
翻譯本應是源語言與目標語言之間的橋樑，但是由于源語言與目標語言存在頗多差異，翻譯過程便需要不斷調整結構。然而漢語譯員可能受到英語錶層結構的跼限，也可能漢語譯員無法自如地駕馭漢語，其譯文併不閤乎翻譯標準。該文以此齣髮，探討瞭兩種主流的翻譯標準、英式漢語的原因、錶現形式和剋服途徑。
번역본응시원어언여목표어언지간적교량，단시유우원어언여목표어언존재파다차이，번역과정편수요불단조정결구。연이한어역원가능수도영어표층결구적국한，야가능한어역원무법자여지가어한어，기역문병불합호번역표준。해문이차출발，탐토료량충주류적번역표준、영식한어적원인、표현형식화극복도경。
Translation should be a bridge between a source language and a target language, however, due to the considerable dif-ferences between the two languages, continuous readjustment and compromise are requisite during translation. But Chinese trans-lators may be confined by the surface structure of English sentences or they might have a poor command of Chinese. Consequent-ly, their translations cannot make sense according to certain translation standards. Two prevailing translation standards, the causes for Chinese with British characteristics and some examples, and the approach to avoid such Chinese are discussed in this paper.
