This paper illustrated a method for the design of the Gas Insulated Substation Transient Calculation Sys-tem ( GIS-TCS) . The proposed system employed C# language and object orient technology, and used the Bergelon Calculation Method as the core of calculation. The proposed system has a very understandable handling interface, a better communication between people and computer and a powerful function of graphics. Finally this paper com-pared the result of calculation between the GIS-TCS and the professional software EMTP through a transient case in GIS. The result suggests that two graphs are approximate equally, which verified the system is accurate.
