The RCS of metal sphere varied with observed distance was calculated by multilevel fast multipole method,and using the high-frequency approximation,the varying trend of RCS in near field was analyzed and affirmed.The near field RCS approximated formula of metal sphere under spherical incident wave or partly irradiation condition was presented,which can be used to calibrate the near field RCS measured data.
