从语义出发，《论衡》中的名词可分为表人名词、器具名词、自然名词、形体名词、衣食名词、建筑名词等。各类名词在《论衡》中活用为动词的情况与西汉及先秦相比，并不完全相同。总体上来看，各类在先秦及西汉可活用为动词的名词，到《论衡》中有逐渐演变为纯粹名词的趋势，但并不能据此推断“词类活用”现象到东汉后逐渐消失。
종어의출발，《론형》중적명사가분위표인명사、기구명사、자연명사、형체명사、의식명사、건축명사등。각류명사재《론형》중활용위동사적정황여서한급선진상비，병불완전상동。총체상래간，각류재선진급서한가활용위동사적명사，도《론형》중유축점연변위순수명사적추세，단병불능거차추단“사류활용”현상도동한후축점소실。
starting from sematic, 〈Lunheng〉 the nouns can be divided into Denoting-person noun, appliances nouns, natural nouns, body nouns, clothing and food noun, building noun, etc. All kinds of nouns in the ,〈Lunheng〉 the flexible for verbs with the western han dynasty and compared the pre-qin period, not exactly the same. Overall, all kinds of western han dynasty in the pre-qin and can be use for verbs nouns, to 〈Lunheng〉 have gradually evolved into pure noun trend, but did not infer that "the flexible usage of word class" phenomenon after the eastern han dynasty gradually disappear.
