极化整流器是电化学整流系统的一部分，是在整流器停车时，防止电解槽因反电势而造成电解槽极板腐蚀的应急电源．传统极化电源装置采用相控整流方式，控制系统为模拟或半数字化，由于设计要求与运行状态的差异，常带来严重谐波和无功消耗的问题，甚至影响动力电源的质量．新型极化整流器采用整流一斩波变流技术和全数字化设计，能有效提高功率因数，使极化电源的稳流稳压精度和变流效率得到了较大的提高．

Polarization rectifier is part of the electrochemical rectifier system, which is an emergency power supply to prevent the cell plate from beig corroded by EMF during the pause of the rectifier. The tradition- al polarization rectifier uses phase-controlled rectifier mode,which often has serious harmonic and reactive power consumption issues, and even affects the quality of power supply because of the differences of the design requirements and running status. The new polarization rectifier uses the rectifier-chopper converter technology and all-digital design, which can effectively improve power factor, converter efficiency and the precision of the voltage and current.
