Quarternary combined compressor process flow in nitric acid production unit is expounded briefly. Combining with the compressor working characteristic curve and the pipeline characteristic curve, the compressor characteristics under stable and surge working status are introduced. The main factors generating surge and danger introduced from actual production of compressor are summarized. The anti-surge protection schemes for axial flow compressor and nitrogen oxide compressor are put forward respectively. Combining with the advanced turbine compressor control system (ITCC), the generation of surge can he prevented, and the damage to the equipment can be avoided effectively. These play a crucial role for safe and stable production for the plant.
