A wood-based panel plant, in particular, a medium density fiberboard plant will produce lots of waste. How to use the waste is a subject worthy of study. Biomass energy has broad prospects and many advantages, and to utilize medium density fiberboard processing residues as raw materials to manufacture pellets of fuel is a good way to change the waste to valuable things. In this article, an investigation is made on the annual output of 15 million m3 of a medium density fiberboard plant, calculating the sources and proportion of waste wood, and energy consumption, in order to provide basic data for' the manufacture of pellets of fuel. Meantime, a brief description is given of pellets of fuel.
