The special items funds for repair and purchase in central scientific institutions is the special finance funds, it's an important measure for nation's optimal science and technology input. The manage- ment experience, effect and questions of execution since the special items were carried out in Rubber Re- search Institute of Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences was reviewed in this paper, and put forward some suggestions and experiences to further improve the special items management in order to fully bring the benefits.
