在高职院校中，日语翻译类课程和日语翻译素养并未受到重视。日语翻译素养是专业精神与专业意识的融合。专业精神是面对原文时翻译的责任感与使命感；专业意识是全面精准地把握原文，以“信、达”为标准，以目标语读者为中心，酌词句、求精义，使译者翻译的目标语或译文和原文所要表达的意义基本一致。只有这样，才能“人尽其才”。
