量的研究和质的研究是社会科学研究领域的两大基本研究范式。长期以来，量的研究一直占主导地位。20世纪50年代以来，质的研究开始崛起并取得了重大进展。我国心理学研究长期以来也主要以量的研究为主导。自80年代以来，在我国心理学两大权威刊物——《心理学报》和《心理科学》上发表大量文章是以量的研究为主要研究范式，但质的研究也越来越成为人们关注的对象。文章从两者的差别和联系方面来阐述两者结合的可能性和必要性。

The research of quantity and quality is the two basic research paradigms in the field of social sci- ence. The research of quantity has been in the lead for long time. Since 1950s, the research of quality began to rise and made a great breakthrough. In China, the research of quantity is the leading paradigm in the field of psychological study. Since 1980s, in two authoritative publications about psycholo's named Acta Psychological Sinica and Psychological Science, a large number of articles taking the research of quantity as leading research paradigm were published, which based on the quantitative research, However, qualitative research has got more and more people's attention. This paper expounds the possibility and necessity of their combination based on their differences and relations.
