As the global resources have been depleted, the ecologic environment is worsening and the human industrial disease are spreading fast in the current time, it is urgent for the whole world to deal with the ecological problems. In China, the central government establishes the strategic task " Promoting a Conservation Culture " This article summarizes the connotation, characteristics and domestic research status of the conservation culture. Based on analyzing the domestic practices of conservation culture, the article also puts forward some suggestions on establishing ecological government, developing the ecological civilization economy and exploring the practical ecological civilization index system and so on.
