The germination of wild eggplant seed was studied. Results showed that ,wild eggplant seed absorbed water in different stages, the absorption rate was about 45% in reaching equilibrium. Germination rate of wild eggplant was low ,the temperature from 30 ℃ to 35 ℃ was suitable for germination. Variable temperatures were beneficial to germination of wild eggplant seed. There was no significant effect of light on the seed germination.
