The development and application of software radio was described in this paper. In order to satisfy the numeralization need of radar intermediate frequency receiver, the design scheme of digital IF receiver in which the software radio idea was applied in C-band microwave unified TF&C system was introduced, the basic principles and key techniques were analyzed, and the specific implementation method applying FPGA and DSP was put forward. The whole system is highly integrated, reliable and flexible, it has already applied in a C-band unified TY&C system.
