After the prime of the Tang dynasty,Han Yu made a bold and daring move of"taking prose writing techniques into poem writing"forming his own distinctive poem style,which had great impact upon later generations.Through detailed analysis of Han Yu’s poems,this paper endeavors to explore the origin of this style and its characteristics,gain an overall perspective of his artistic style and further interpret it in terms of its status in Han Yu’s overall poem writing styles.
