高考升学率的提高对消除整体贫困有非常大的促进作用,但具体到农村贫困地区而言,高考升学率的提高在短期内并不总是能够减少贫困,而且还会对这些地区的经济发展起到一定的冲击作用。在城乡差距、地区差距成为制约我国收入公平分配和经济持续健康发展障碍的今天,必须对高考升学对农村贫困地区经济发展的副作用有一个清醒的认识。

Combining with the macroeconomic data and micro survey data in the rural impoverished areas of Hubei Province in the recent ten years,this paper has studied the influence of college entrance examination on economy of the rural impoverished areas.Through the studies,we've found that the improvement of college admission rate is very beneficial for eliminating entire poverty of our country,but to rural impoverished region,the enhanced college admission rate can't only reduce poverty in the short term,and can also strike economic development.Area differences become the obstacle which restricts fair income distribution and economic sustainable development.We must have a clear understanding about the relation between college entrance examination and economic development of rural impoverished region,and provides countermeasures for the solution to poverty caused by college entrance examination in rural impoverished region..
