德蔗03—83是德宏州甘科所采用“五圃制”有性杂交选育程序和技术从粤糖85—177×ROC22组合的杂交后代中选育的最新甘蔗优良品种。该品种表现为中熟、高糖、高产、稳产、粗生易管、适应性强、宿根性好、抗逆性强等优良性状。2008～2010年，在云南省区域化试验和生产示范试验35次试验中，德蔗03—83平均蔗茎产量124．08t／hm2，比CK1（103．04t／hm2）增产20．43％，比CK2（80．34t／hm2）增产54．44％；11月到3月平均蔗糖分依次是：11．24％、13．61％、14．82％、16．15％、16．38％，糖分高峰值可达16％以上。11～1月平均糖分13．22％；12～3月平均糖分15．24％，11～3月平均糖分14．44％，比2对照略低；平均含糖量17．80t／hm2，比CKI（15．44t／hm2）增15．35‰比CK2（12．27t／hm2）增45．11％。

A new sugarcane variety of Dezhe 03-83 was bred from the hybrid offspring in cross combination by Yuetang85-177 X ROC22 by using "Five plot system" sexual hybridization breeding procedures and technique in Dehong Sugarcane Research Institute. The variety was characterized by mid maturation, high sugar content, high and stable yield, extensive cultivation, strong adaptability, good ratooning ability and strong resistance to adversity. The results of 35 times regional sugarcane varieties trial and demonstration experiment in Yunnan from 2008 to 2010 predicated that: the average cane stalk yield was 124.08 t/hm2, higher than that of CK1 (103.04 t/hm2) with 20.43% and CK2 (80.34 t/hm2) with 54.44% respectively. The cane sugar from November to March respectively was 11.24%, 13.61%, 14.82%, 16.15%, 16.38%, the highest cane sugar was 16% above. The average sugar content from November to December was 13.22%, the average sugar content from January to March was 15.24%, and the average sugar content from January to March was 14.44%. The average sugar yield was 17.80 t/hm2, higher than that of CK1 (15.44 t/hm2) by 15.35% and CK2 (12.27 t/hm2) by 45.11% respectively.
