《避暑录话》是两宋之交在政治、军事、文学与文化等多方面都有重要影响的耆宿———叶梦得的一部口述笔录。是书通过其门生和儿子之手,对其口授的由他亲眼所见、亲耳所闻、亲身经历的众多遗闻趣事作了较为详细的记录。这些遗闻趣事对订补宋代多方面史料之阙,具有十分重要的意义,故屡被后人转引称述,得到很高评价,堪称宋代口述史的经典之作。

Bi Shu Lu Hua is a record of oral history told by Ye Mengde,a venerated old man,who was very influential in politics,military affairs,literature and culture at the turn of Northern Song Dynasty and Southern Song Dynasty.The book was compiled by his followers and son,recording many old stories and Ye's interesting experiences.These stories and experiences are very important to the revision and supplement of historical materials of Song Dynasty,thus frequently cited in later studies.And the book is thought highly as the classic of oral history in Song Dynasty.
