上一年中，全球各地城市化进程不断加快的同时城市问题也日益严重，各国政府着力改善基础设施及服务的完善性和公平性，希望可以实现资源的合理空间分布和可持续性的社会整体发展。无论是发达还是发展中国家的城市都面临着严峻的挑战，前者高速发展后难以克服经济和城市发展所带来的内生性问题，后者则在全球资源快速流动中日益卷入不断加速的城市化漩涡，而对各种资源的不断透支必然有损于这些地区的可持续增长，这同时也会反过来危及全球的长远发展。在这样的背景下，文章从都市规划和发展政策、城市社会发展和人口问题、都市精神生态和文学艺术三个角度阐释。

In the increasingly fast urbanization across the world in the previous year, the accompanying problems are severe as the time goes by. The countries across the world try to improve the infrastructure and service to realize the rational spatial distribution of resources and social sustainable development. The developed and developing countries are all facing challenges. The developed countries are dealing with the endogenous problems with the fast growing economy and urbanization. The developing countries are somewhat passively involved in the urbanization and circulation of global resources and the over-consuming of various resources are bound to damage the sustainable development of these areas and the long-term development of the world. Against the background the paper will make the report in terms of metropolitan planning and policies, urban social development and population, metropolitan spirit and art.
