龙华民系明末来华的耶稣会传教士,1597年始在韶州传教达十余年之久。利玛窦死后担任天主教在华负责人,曾持与利氏不同的传教方针,不过后来在遭遇挫折后有所改变,后来又到山东传教。他著有《圣撒若法行实》、《地震解》等多部中文著作,又参与了《崇祯历书》的编纂、校订工作,对中西文化交流做出了贡献,死后葬于北京。

룡화민계명말래화적야소회전교사,1597년시재소주전교체십여년지구。리마두사후담임천주교재화부책인,증지여리씨불동적전교방침,불과후래재조우좌절후유소개변,후래우도산동전교。타저유《골살약법행실》、《지진해》등다부중문저작,우삼여료《숭정역서》적편찬、교정공작,대중서문화교류주출료공헌,사후장우북경。
Nicolas Longobardi, J.S. came to China in 1597. He spread Christianity in Shaozhou city more than 10 years. After Matteo Ricci's death, he was the leader of Christianity in China. He had some different opinions from Ricci. But finally he changed his idea after some throwbacks happened. Later he came to Shandong province to do the missionary work. He wrote some books in Chinese such as The Biography of St. Josaphat and The Explaining of Earthquake, etc. He took part in making Chinese calendar, the Chongzhen Calendar. He did outstanding contribution in Sino-West cultural exchange. He dead in 1654 and was buri.ed in Zhalan cemetery, Beijing.
