A kind of "layering teaching method" is proposed and used in the course of embedded system for the students whose major is electronic information engineer. The theory part of the course is divided into system construction layer, processor mechanism layer and interface design layer. The practice part is divided into basic experiment layer, composite practice part and innovation practice layer. Us- ing layering teaching method, it is easy for students to understand step by step. The teaching practice shows that the comprehension and practice ability in this course are greatly enhanced.
