This article deals with the definition, advantages and drawbacks of such mechanized water saving irrigation techniques as sprinkling irrigation, micro-irrigation and walking water-saving irrigation, and describes the technical characteristics and applicabiIity in the application process of these various water-saving techniques in a bid to provide reference for the promotion and application of mech- anized water-saving irrigation techniques.
