近年来，我国高等职业教育蓬勃发展，为现代化建设培养了大量高素质技能型专门人才，对高等教育大众化作出了重要贡献。随着我国走新型工业化道路，高职院校既面临极好的发展机遇。也面临严峻挑战。挑战在于如何在发展中进一步壮大自己，实现学院跨越式发展的办学目标。在高职院校的跨越式发展道路上，内涵建设似乎成了实现办学目标必经之路。文章在分析内涵建设概念和特点基础上。以耶鲁大学医学院为借鉴，提出了高职院校内涵建设办学理念。并从创新办学理念，明确办学目标；创新体制机制，强化管理过程；发挥特色优势，组建科研团队；打造专业品牌，狠抓培养质量等方面论述了高职院校内涵建设。

The vigorous development of higher vocational education in our country in recent years helps to train a large number of quality and skilled talents, which has contributed a lot to mass higher education. With China taking a new road of industrialization, higher vocational colleges enjoy favorable opportunities to develop, but also encounters tough challenges which lies in how to further expand themselves in the course of development, and achieve the goal of leap -frog development. In the course of higher vocational colleges'leap -frog development, connotative construction seems to be essential for achieving educational goal. The paper, on the basis of the analysis of the concept and characteristic of connotative construction, and with Medical College of Yale University as reference, puts forward the school running concept of connotative construction. It also discusses connotative construction in higher vocational colleges from innovating the notion of running a school, defining the goal of running school, innovating system and mechanism, strengthening management process, making full advantage of specialty, organizing research teams, creating professional brand, and paying close attention to training quality.
