汉武帝时在官方推动下，经学教育在全国得以迅速发展传播，即使在边远的河西地区也得以普及，到五凉时期河西地区经学得到了较大发展。河西地区经学教育的来源主要有三方面：汉武帝时政策移民随之传播到河西，两汉之际经学家依附河西窦融，东汉时期河西豪族对经学的家族教育。
한무제시재관방추동하，경학교육재전국득이신속발전전파，즉사재변원적하서지구야득이보급，도오량시기하서지구경학득도료교대발전。하서지구경학교육적래원주요유삼방면：한무제시정책이민수지전파도하서，량한지제경학가의부하서두융，동한시기하서호족대경학적가족교육。
In Han Wudi's period, the education of Confucian classics got rapid development under the impetus of govern- ment, even in remote areas as Hexi. To the period of Five Liangs, the Confucian classics developed greatly. Generally, there are three origins of Hexi Confucian classics., transmission of such classics to this area with the immigrants in Han Wudi's peri- od, scholars~ attachment to DOU Rong in Hexi in two Han Dynasties, the family education of Confucian classics by nobles in Eastern Han Dynasty.
