山西人口老龄化目前处于加速阶段,今后几十年还将经历高速增长阶段,65岁及以上的老年人口最高时将接近25%,人口年龄结构呈现高度老龄化和高龄化特征,并对人口、经济、社会、文化等产生全方位冲击,甚至改变社会的发展状态。应对人口老龄化是全社会的责任,要坚持政府主导,完善社会保障,构建保障网络,优化保障机制,保障现在和未来老年人的生活品质。
