As our economy rapidly improves and the people’s demand for life quality is uplifted, the Chinese urban people has stepped into an era of leisure holiday travel consumption. Theme park has increasingly become the most favored choice among the majority of the public, which stimulates the regional investment and has become one of the most potentially promising industry. Taking one of the most successful theme parksDiscoveryland as an research object, the essay elaborates on how the theme parks promote the regional economic development and what problems have arisen from designing and running these theme parks, which the author hopes to be of some significance to the planning and development of city and surrounding region.
