Chemical engineering design course is an important major course for the student of chemical engineering and technology, and which have a strong engineering practicality. In the paper, the author introduced the characteristics and problems of chemical engineering design course, and gave some relevant reform measures of chemical engineering design course in theory and practice teaching, to adapt to the culture of chemical talent under new situation.
