Sulfur dioxide (S02)emissions levels from flue gas activation furnace of the coal- based activated carbon detected by fix-potential electrolysis method show a significant differ- ence from that of method of balanced calculation between materials and products and the infrared method. The high concentration of carbon monoxide (CO)in the activation furnace flue gas may be an important factor that caused the high results detected by Fix-potential electrolysis method.
