English contract needs to be interpreted by the parties to the contract,courts or arbitration agencies in the process of its performance in the event of a dispute arising from the disagreement as to the understanding of the contract clauses or because of the uncertainty and unclearness of the expression of the contract words.This paper researches into the meaning and significance of some important language rules and how these language rules are applied in the interpretation of English contract.
