Different feed ingredients utilized to compose a dairy concentrate have different prices which depend largely upon their available energy and crude protein. In this paper, NND (dairy energy unit) and CP (crude protein) were used to estimate the shadow or relative prices of the major feed parts of the concentrate, such as SBM, cotton seed meal, corn, wheat (or its bran) and so forth based on their DM (dry matter), which made it possible to form a relative low cost concentrate by offering a basis to choose them combined with the consideration of their digestability, availability and even the hazardous substances in them.
