介绍了太湖流域城镇污水处理厂改造工程中的强化生物处理工艺和增加的深度处理工艺现状；根据不同的强化生物处理工艺列举了相应的污水处理厂的具体改造技术，并对各污水处理厂改造后的脱氮除磷效果及尾水排放达标的难点等问题进行了分析和总结。

This paper introduced the status of the enhanced biological treatment process and the newly ad-vanced treatment process during the process of upgrading and retrofitting of urban wastewater treatment plants ( WWTPs) in Taihu lake basin of Jiangsu.The paper listed on specific upgrading technique of the sewage treatment plant in term of different enhanced biological treatment process.Meanwhile,it also summarized and analyzed the removal efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater and the difficulties in reaching ef-fluent standard of wastewater after upgrading and retrofitting of WWTPs.
