北京旧城面积约为62.5平方公里，是国内面积最大的旧城保护区。旧城交通问题复杂，限制条件多，改善困难大。如何在旧城整体保护的框架下实现交通系统的改造提升，真正实现旧城保护与发展交通双赢，一直是有关部门关注的焦点。对旧城交通现状特征及问题进行总结分析，并重点对产生旧城交通发展瓶颈的症结进行解析，提出了旧城交通发展的方向、路径和措施，并重点从规划层面提出了应加快开展的几项工作。

With an area that is about 62.5 square kilometers, the old town of Beijing is the largest old town protection zone in China. Transportation in the old town is complex, and there are also a lot of limits and thus it is very difficult to make improvement. How to realize improvement and upgrade of the transportation system under the overall framework of old town protection, and realize a win-win result between old town protection and transportation development in the real sense have always being a focus of relevant departments. Characteristics and problems of the status quo of transportation in the old town are analyzed and summed up, and the reasons underlying the transportation development bottleneck of the old town are analyzed. The directions, route and measures for developing transportation in the old town are proposed, and several work that should be carried out quickly is put forward from the aspect of planning.
