云南新平县某铁矿，铁品位为22.98%，主要含铁矿物为磁铁矿和赤(褐)铁矿，脉石以硅酸盐类矿物为主，矿石中有用矿物结晶粒度较细。根据该矿石性质，采用阶段磨矿要阶段磁选要重选工艺对该矿石进行分选，获得铁精矿品位为56.21%，回收率为70.80%。试验结果表明：对于该类型铁矿，采用强磁抛尾工艺，可以获得较好分选指标，同时可以有效降低磨矿成本。
운남신평현모철광，철품위위22.98%，주요함철광물위자철광화적(갈)철광，맥석이규산염류광물위주，광석중유용광물결정립도교세。근거해광석성질，채용계단마광요계단자선요중선공예대해광석진행분선，획득철정광품위위56.21%，회수솔위70.80%。시험결과표명：대우해류형철광，채용강자포미공예，가이획득교호분선지표，동시가이유효강저마광성본。
An iron ore in Xinping County of Yunnan province, iron grade of 22.98%,mainly iron ore mineral is magnetite and hematite (limonite).The main gangues are silicates. The size of valuable mineral in ore is fine. According to the ore properties, using the stage grinding and stage magnetic separation and gravity separation process to this ore, iron concentrate grade is 56.21%, the recovery rate is 70.80%. The test results show that:for the type of iron ore, the strong magnetic separation process,can get good separation indexes, and can effectively reduce the grinding cost.
