Based on the mechanics characteristics and the calculation model analysis of the elastic-plastic soft steel damping wall,its application in highly seismic region is researched. The soft steel damping wall provides a lot of improvement on seismic behavior to high-rise buildings in highly seismic region,and the research provides new methods and ideas on the design of high-rise buildings in highly seismic region.
