白蛾周氏啮小蜂Chouioia cunea是世界性检疫对象——美国白蛾Hyphantria cunea的重要蛹期寄生性天敌,对控制美国白蛾的危害起到重要作用。自该蜂发现以来,围绕白蛾周氏啮小蜂的生物学特性和人工繁育技术等关键问题,开展了大量工作,证实其具有寄生率高、繁殖力强、雌性比大等优点,为一种优良的寄生蜂。特别是在该蜂的应用方面,目前已经摸索出一套成体系的白蛾周氏啮小蜂种蜂繁育技术和林间释放技术,在各发生区均获得良好的防治效果。但在基础研究方面还需进一步深入开展相关工作,如在寄主识别与标记,作用于寄主的寄生因子及其对寄主发育的影响,寄生行为的分子生物学机制等方面还需开展系统的研究工作,为该蜂的人工繁育质量及林(田)间有效保护和利用提供理论指导。

Chouioia cunea Yang(Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) is a natural enemy of Hyphantria cunea(Drury)(Lepidoptera: Arctiidae),which is a worldwide quarantine organism.C.cunea can effectively control H.cunea.Since this parasitic wasp had been discovered,lots of key work had been studied on biological characteristics of artificial breeding technology.These studies had confirmed that as a bio-control parasitic wasp,with strong ability of reproduction and high ratio of females,C.cunea's parasitic rate is high.In the applications of C.cunea,a set of its breeding and release technology had been found,and control effects of these technologies were effective in many H.cunea endangering areas.But comparing with the research of other parasitic wasps,the basic research of C.cunea need do more works.Such as systemic research in respect of host recognition,parasitic factors and their influence on the development of hosts,molecular biology mechanism of parasitic behaviors,that would provide theoretical guidance to artificial breeding,protection and utilization of this wasp in forest(field).
