西准噶尔石炭纪包古图组火山岩主要由玄武岩、玄武安山岩、安山岩、粗安岩组成,属碱性系列。SiO2含量为45.13%~53.05%,全碱含量高(Na2O+K2O=5.08%~8.89%),TiO2含量较高(1.71%~2.77%),稀土总量较高(∑REE=159.7×10-6~301.5×10-6)。轻稀土明显富集((La/Yb)N=5.76~11.69),样品多无明显 Eu 异常(Eu/Eu*=0.78~1.45)。大离子亲石元素Rb,Ba,K相对富集,并富集高场强元素Nb,Ta,Zr,Hf等,具典型洋岛型玄武岩(OIB)特征,可能形成于大洋板内海山环境。此推论为西准噶尔地区大洋阶段热点成因的海山火山岩提供了信息。

The volcanic rocks from Carboniferous Baogutu Formation is mainly characterized by intermediate to basic serieswhich are composed of basalt,basaltic andesites,andesites and trachyandestes.They belong to alkalic series.The samples have similar geochemical characteristics to those of OIB,with SiO2(45.13%~53.05%),high alkali(Na2O+K2O=5.08%~8.89%),TiO2(1.71%~2.77%),and rare earth elements (∑REE=159.7×10-6~301.5×10-6)contents. The Chondrite-normalized REE distribution patterns show enrichment in LREE((La/Yb)N=5.76~11.69)to HREE and have no Eu anoma-lies(Eu/Eu*=0.78~1.45,except 0.06),the samples are all enriched in HFSE(such as Nb,Ta,Zr and Hf) and LILE(such as Rb,Ba and K.).So it is believed that the volcanic rocks from Carboniferous Baogutu Formation are derived from en-riched mantle,and formed in a seamount of the ocean floor,is a product of seamount volcanism with hotspot in ocean evolution stage.
