Based on the traditional immersion method ,light transmittance was introduced to get the difference of the refractive index between powder and immersion liquid ,thus the refractive index of polysiloxane microspheres was measured using this modified immersion method .This method ex-panded the application fields of traditional immersion method into superfine powders and nano-pow-ders .
