回顾近年有关感染后咳嗽（postinfectious cough，PIC）的西医发病机制研究及中医病因病机、治疗的文献，认为PIC的发病机制多与气道高反应性（airway hyperresponsiveness，AHR）有关，而中医病因病机方面各家有从病位而论的，有从脏腑而论的，有从发病因素而论的；指出目前PIC西医发病机制研究尚待完善，希望通过进一步研究各个发病机制引起的AHR的不同通路，为临床从AHR着手治疗PIC提供理论指导；而PIC的中医病机相互之间不是独立的，希望各个医家的不同观点能开拓临床中医治疗的思路。

By reviewing the literature of studying the pathogenesis and TCM etiology, and treatment for postinfectious cough (PIC) in recent years, we conclude that the pathogenesis of PIC is related to airway hyperre-sponsiveness (AHR). TCM etiology and pathogenesis are usually discussed from the locations of the disease, the vis-cera or pathogenic factors, PIC pathogenesis needs to be improved with western medicine, and we wish that further study on different paths of AHR induced by the pathogenesis could provide theoretical direction for treating PIC by AHR; TCM mechanisms of PIC are mutually related, different opinions of the doctors could broaden the thinking of clinical therapies with TCM.
