The structure and technological characteristics of plastic key with metal insert was analyzed,and the structural design and operating process of injection mould for the product were introduced. Combination type cavity was taken,small core and ejector sleeve was applied to form the hole on convex surface. Spring and card slot were used to guarantee the relative position of insert in the die-cavity,push rod and ejector sleeve were designed to push product.The mould structure was rational and safe in operation. The mold realized production automation of the plastic key with metal insert and improved yields.
