The application of the deeply and medium holed caving sublevel room mining method in recovery of slightly dipped thick orebody in Hongyuntan Iron Mine , Shanshan County is presented . Stress is laid on its technological characteristics such as ore block and development engineering ar -rangement , mining , ventilation , hauling , roof management and mined area treatment .The main e-conomic and technical indexes achieved by this method and its advantages are described .
