1900年敦煌千佛洞出土的《灸经图》是我国现存最早的灸法专著，历代医籍不见收载，内容上与传统针灸医籍有不少相异处，敦煌《灸经图》图16中标引四天庭穴在头后枕部，上下左右四穴，《灸经图》这样布穴意为着什么？这个千古悬案一直困扰着中外学者。通过我们多年的临床验证分析发现：《灸经图》它是与伏羲八卦、长沙马王堆帛书一脉相承的重要针灸流派；四天庭是同名四穴组这一奇葩沿革的始祖；四天庭是针灸史上最早的头针疗法、枕骨疗法；四天庭对五劳七伤虚损性疾患及痿痹瘫呆喘等顽症痼疾有显著临床效果，它开创了中医脑病学的先河，对推动当前针灸学的发展具有巨大的意义。
