The article gives details of advanced processes in steel making, forging, heat treatment in course of back-up roll manufacturing for Anshan steel 5.5 m heavy plate mill. The test results indicates all performance of back-up roll product are as per technical requirements for this kind of back-up roll, and reaches the same level of similar foreign products.
