Although Chinese classic temple garden belongs to Chinese classic garden system, it differs from literati garden since it pays more attention to Zen and Buddhist classical references. By tracing the humanistic origin of Tantuo Temple, as wel as analyzing its location, spatial distribution and garden design, the essay demonstrates such feature of classic temple garden.
