Amorphous alloys show more excellent performance than traditional metallic materials .Two main methods of preparation of amorphous alloys , MA ( mechanical alloying ) and RSP ( rapid solidification processing ) were discussed .The essential difference between the two kinds of preparation methods was analyzed .The four main theory models of preparation of amorphous alloys by mechanical alloying: mechanistic models , atomistic models , thermodynamic models , and kinetic models has been introduced .The merit and demerit of these models and the relation between them were also indicated .
