A design of video uploading client software for video surveillance system based on Android smart phone technology is put forward , and the framework of the whole system and client software development process are introduced . Based on the An-droid operating system platform , the client extends the session initiation protocol ( SIP ) for signaling control , achieves video capture and encoding by using multimedia framework , gets the encode data with LocalSocket , and uses the real-time transport protocol ( RTP ) for data transmission .
