Liangyou 616, a new two-line hybrid rice combination, derived from the cross of Guangzhan 63-4S and Fuhui 616, was developed by Fujian Nongjia Seed Stock Co. Ltd. of Zhongzhong Group and Rice Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and was released by Fujian province in 2012. Its planting and demonstration performances as mid-season rice at Youxi county were summarized in 2012-2013, and its main characteristics and high-yielding cultivation techniques were introduced.
