针对GPS应用中因定位数据量大而导致的存储器资源及传输带宽有限的问题,提出了一种基于提升小波变换的GPS数据压缩算法。该算法针对GPS数据特点,利用提升小波对GPS观测数据进行提升分解,并结合Huffman编码算法,对分解后的小波系数进行编码。 Matlab仿真试验结果表明,该算法具有压缩算法简单、方案灵活、易于实现等特点,重构后的数据基本无信息损失,且压缩比得到了有效提高。

In order to solve the problems of limited storage resource and transmission bandwidth caused by huge amount of positioning data in GPS application, the GPS data compression algorithm based on the lift wavelet transform is proposed. In accordance with the features of GPS data, the GPS observation data are decomposed by using lifting wavelet, and the decomposed wavelet coefficient is encoded by combining the Huffman encoding algorithm. The Matlab simulation test results show that the algorithm features simple compress calculation, flexible scheme and easy to be implemented, the constructed data are basely without information loss, and the compress rate is effectively improved.
