Production of cement is crucial for the construction quality and with high energy consumption. An automatic control of the cement production line can improve cement quality and at the same time save energy. An application of Siemens PCS7 for the automatic control of cement production is developed. With an automatic monitoring and controlling by PCS7 the automation degree is improved and the production intensity is reduced. It is proved that the automation system can save energy, improve production quality and increase economy benefit.
